About

Located in downtown Kitchener, Dfy Studio is a creative environment where designers of varying backgrounds work together to create fun and functional commercial spaces. With almost a decade of experience designing and constructing a vast range of buildings and spaces; Dfy Studio has developed a known presence in the Kitchener Waterloo area, particularly amongst the tech community.

Our designs feature eye-catching details which root in our experience in multi-storey luxury condominiums. We continue to be involved in such projects, as Dfy Studio has a passion for the local lifestyle of downtown Kitchener and is excited to see how this city will continue to evolve.

Weekends are for: Adventures!!! Family, friends, vino, eats, projects around our old house, long rides and hikes.

Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck, or, 100 duck-sized horses? No Question, one horse-sized duck. Untold truth…. I’m the duckie whisperer.

Interesting fact about me: I still have 2 adolescent/baby teeth.

Weekends are for: Kitchener Farmers Market, experimenting in the kitchen, exploring the city, dreaming up future renovation and design plans over some wine and cheese in my ever-aging century home.

Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck, or, 100 duck-sized horses? I’d prefer to sit down and have a drink with both parties and resolve our differences with conversation. But… if it came down to it, one-horsed sized duck.

Interesting fact about me: I grew up in the United States and lived in Abu Dhabi before moving to Canada.

Weekends are for: Hanging out with my family, exploring new places.

Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck, or, 100 duck-sized horses? Do they really want to fight? I am sure they probably just feel misunderstood, and just need to talk it out.

Interesting fact about me: I live on a pumpkin farm…

Weekends are for: Fun-filled activities! Whether it’s a new hiking trail, pick-up games, painting, or trying something totally new, weekends are best for activities with friends and family 🙂 oh, and napping of course!

Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck, or, 100 duck-sized horses? 100 duck-sized horses for sure. Horses are definitely the kinder animal compared to ducks; I’ve never seen a well-trained duck but I’ve seen many well-trained horses! While the initial fight would be interesting, the long-term gain of a dual with 100 duck-sized horses definitely wins. While they might resist at first, I feel they could be trained for carriage rides, and who wouldn’t want to be chartered around by a fleet of 100 duck-sized horses?

Intermediate Designer

Education: Ryerson University, Bachelor of Interior Design

Interesting fact about me: I’m the first generation in my family to be born in Canada.

Weekends are for: Going out to do something new with my family or have a few patio drinks with some friends

Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck, or, 100 duck-sized horses?: I think I would get along better with horses but I don’t think I can reason with 100 of them. If I can just sit down with this duck, I’m sure we can figure something out that works for the both of us. I don’t know what the duck has been through to have that opinion but I’d love to hear their side of the story. I’m a pretty understanding person and I’d much rather just be friends! How can you even stay mad at a horse-sized duck?!

Interesting fact about me: I worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor

Weekends are for: Walks and cuddles with my two hound dogs, baking, family dinners, and watching movies

Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck, or, 100 duck-sized horses? I would have to pick the one horse-sized duck. I can speak like Donald Duck so I would be able to carry on a conversation in their native language. I think they just want to be understood.
